A tragic accident claimed the life of 36-year-old Flora Hernandez early Monday morning in Midland.
According to Midland police, the incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on August 11 near West Loop 250 North. A 2022 International truck traveling eastbound in the outer lane encountered Hernandez standing in the roadway. Despite the driver’s attempt to swerve and avoid her, the collision was unavoidable.
Flora Hernandez, a Midland resident, was struck by the truck and later died from her injuries. Her family has been notified, and the community mourns her loss.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
