Tragic Crash in Colquitt County Claims Lives of Two Including Mother of Two

A devastating crash Saturday night at the intersection of Hopewell Church Road and GA-133 South has claimed the lives of two people, including 39-year-old mother of two, Sarah Ann Buckner Anderson.

According to Colquitt County Coroner C. Verlyn Brock, the collision occurred around 9:07 p.m. when a 19-year-old driver allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed struck Anderson’s vehicle. The impact was so severe that Anderson’s car was split in half.

The 19-year-old driver also died in the crash. Friends and family of Anderson believe the other driver was speeding at the time of the accident.

The community is mourning the loss of Sarah Ann Buckner Anderson, remembered as a loving mother and cherished member of the community.
