Aristeo Cruz Jimenez,Marcos Cruz Alia Obituary, Death;- The California Highway Patrol reports that two individuals lost their lives following a three-vehicle collision near Salinas on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Aristeo Cruz Jimenez from Port Hueneme and Marcos Cruz Alia from Salinas, according to information released on Friday.

According to CHP, the incident occurred on Highway 183, south of Cooper Road, at approximately 4:47 p.m. A red sedan was in the process of making a left turn when it was struck from behind by a gray GMC SUV, which propelled it into the path of an oncoming semi-truck traveling northbound. Subsequently, the semi-truck collided with the red sedan, as reported by CHP.

The 20-year-old male driver of the sedan sustained significant injuries and was transported to the hospital.

CHP indicated that the driver of the GMC fled the scene. This driver was later found and identified as a 19-year-old woman from Salinas.
