The Levittown and Carle Place communities are mourning the loss of Rosemary Hunter, a beloved resident, dedicated community member, and former board member of Levittown North Baseball, Inc. Rosemary passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of service, kindness, and commitment that will be remembered for years to come.
Levittown North Baseball, Inc., an organization where she dedicated countless hours of volunteer service, expressed their grief and gratitude in a heartfelt tribute: “Levittown North is heartbroken at the loss of former board member Rosemary Hunter. She will be sorely missed by our entire Levittown community.”
Her involvement in the program reflected her love for both the sport and the community. Parents, players, and fellow board members remember her as someone who always gave her time selflessly to ensure the success of programs that helped shape the lives of countless young athletes.
Beyond her work with the organization, Rosemary was known for her warmth and her ability to connect with people. Friends and neighbors describe her as compassionate, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether through her volunteerism, her friendships, or her family life, she had a way of bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging.
The news of her passing has been felt deeply throughout the Levittown area, where Rosemary’s efforts and presence were part of the fabric of the community. Those who worked alongside her recall her dedication and commitment, not only to Levittown North Baseball but also to supporting families and creating opportunities for children to thrive.
Her passing has left an irreplaceable void, but the impact she made will live on in the memories of those who knew her and in the organizations she supported.
Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects during visitation services at Thomas A. Glynn & Sons Funeral Home, 20 Lincoln Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY, on Monday, September 15th, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and again from 7:00–9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, during the same hours.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 80 Hicksville Road, Seaford, NY. Following the Mass, interment will take place at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY, from 12:30–1:00 p.m.
For her family, Rosemary was not only a pillar of strength but also a source of love and inspiration. To her friends and neighbors, she was a trusted confidant and loyal friend. And to the wider Levittown community, she was an example of what it means to give selflessly for the betterment of others.
As the community prepares to say goodbye, they also celebrate the incredible life she led and the many ways she enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
